Payment & Billing Policy
This policy explains displayed prices, quotes, payment timing, invoices, packages, failed payments, and billing questions for Brightoria Learn services.
Every price should be understood before the session begins.
01. Scope of this policy
This Payment and Billing Policy applies to tutoring sessions, homework assistance, personalized learning plans, knowledge-review sessions, and any other accepted educational support sold by Brightoria Learn.
Pricing shown on the website is a general starting point. A booking confirmation, invoice, or written proposal states the applicable amount for a specific engagement.
02. Displayed prices
Website prices are stated in United States dollars unless clearly indicated otherwise. They may be introductory rates, standard rates, or “from” prices based on a stated session length or deliverable.
Future prices may change as availability, subject level, preparation requirements, or operating costs change. A price change does not alter a fully paid confirmed session unless the customer agrees.
03. Current standard service references
- One-on-One Academic Tutoring: $55 per 60-minute session.
- Homework and Study Assistance: $40 per 45-minute session.
- Personalized Learning Plan: $175 for the initial plan and included review described in the confirmation.
- Knowledge Review Session: $45 per 60-minute session.
04. Quotes and custom scope
A custom quote may be appropriate for advanced subjects, extensive preparation, multi-document review, recurring packages, small-group work, or a different session length. The customer may accept or decline the quote before work begins.
A quote is valid for the period stated in the quote. If no period is stated, it is subject to availability and may be withdrawn before acceptance.
05. Payment timing
Brightoria Learn may require payment before a session is reserved or before preparation begins. Recurring services may be invoiced per session, as a package, or according to another schedule stated in writing.
A booking is not final until any required payment has been successfully authorized and confirmation has been issued.
06. Authorized payment methods
Available payment methods depend on Shopify and the enabled payment providers. The customer must use a payment method the customer is authorized to use and provide accurate billing details.
Brightoria Learn does not ask customers to transmit full card numbers or card security codes through ordinary email or contact forms.
07. Taxes and provider fees
Applicable taxes may be added where legally required. The customer is responsible for currency-conversion charges, bank fees, card-provider charges, or other costs imposed by the customer’s own provider.
Brightoria Learn will not add an undisclosed mandatory fee after a service has been confirmed, except for taxes or charges required by law or a customer-approved change in scope.
08. Invoices and receipts
An invoice or receipt may include customer information, service description, amount, payment status, transaction reference, and applicable tax information. The customer should promptly report a material billing error.
Records may be retained for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution purposes.
09. Packages and prepaid balances
If a package is offered, the confirmation should state the number and length of sessions, validity period if any, cancellation rules, and whether unused sessions are refundable. A package may not be transferred to another learner without written approval.
Prepaid value is not a bank account, does not earn interest, and may be limited to the services described in the package.
10. Failed or disputed payments
If a payment fails, is reversed, or is disputed, Brightoria Learn may pause future services while the issue is investigated. The customer should first contact the billing mailbox with the invoice or transaction reference.
Knowingly initiating an unjustified chargeback after receiving a service does not eliminate the underlying payment obligation. Brightoria Learn may provide transaction and service records to the payment provider.
11. Late payment
When a written arrangement allows payment after service, an overdue balance may result in suspension of future bookings. Any late fee must have been disclosed in advance and must comply with applicable law.
Brightoria Learn may use lawful collection methods for a valid unpaid amount but will not disclose a learner’s educational details beyond what is reasonably necessary.
12. Changes requested by the customer
If the customer requests additional preparation, a longer session, extra attendees, or a new deliverable, Brightoria Learn will identify any additional price before performing the added work whenever reasonably possible.
The customer is not required to purchase an optional add-on to continue using a separately confirmed service.
13. Promotions and discounts
A promotion may include eligibility, expiration, service, quantity, or new-customer restrictions. Promotions cannot be combined unless expressly stated and have no cash value.
Brightoria Learn may correct an obvious pricing or promotional error before accepting an order. If payment was already collected for an order that cannot reasonably be honored, the amount will be refunded.
14. Billing questions
A billing question should include the customer name, approximate transaction date, amount, service, and available invoice or transaction reference. Full card numbers should never be included.
Brightoria Learn will review a reasonably documented billing concern in good faith and explain the available correction, credit, refund, or supporting record.
