Inclusive access
Accessibility Statement
This statement describes Brightoria Learn’s approach to website accessibility, reasonable educational adjustments, alternative formats, and barrier reporting.
A learning path should make room for different ways of access.
01. Commitment
Brightoria Learn aims to make its website communications and personalized educational support reasonably accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility is treated as an ongoing operational responsibility rather than a one-time design claim.
The service will consider reasonable requests in good faith, subject to available resources, the nature of the service, safety, and applicable law.
02. Website design approach
The website design aims to use readable contrast, scalable text, semantic headings, keyboard-accessible controls, visible focus states, descriptive labels, and reduced-motion support. Decorative animations should not be required to understand the content.
Because Shopify themes, installed applications, browser behavior, and third-party content can change, occasional barriers may still occur.
03. Theme and motion controls
The website includes light and dark visual themes intended to support different reading preferences. The selected theme may be remembered in browser storage.
Visitors who enable reduced-motion preferences should receive a simplified experience where supported by the custom code.
04. Keyboard use
Navigation, menu controls, theme controls, and form elements are designed to be operable without a mouse. Focus should move in a logical order and controls should have accessible names.
If a component traps focus, cannot be reached, or cannot be closed by keyboard, the issue should be reported with the page and device details.
05. Text and zoom
Visitors should generally be able to enlarge browser text or zoom the page without losing core content or controls. On narrow screens, layouts are designed to stack vertically.
Extremely large zoom, browser extensions, or third-party widgets may affect layout, and Brightoria Learn welcomes reports of specific barriers.
06. Images and visual information
Meaningful images should include concise alternative text. Decorative backgrounds may be hidden from assistive technology when they do not add information.
Brightoria Learn will avoid relying on color alone to communicate a required action whenever reasonably practicable.
07. Forms
Form fields should have labels or accessible names, required states, logical instructions, and status messages. The contact form is designed to validate completion before displaying its on-page confirmation.
The public form does not transmit information until a separate workflow is connected; customers who need an alternative may use one of the plain-text contact addresses listed below.
08. Educational accommodations
A customer may describe an accessibility need that affects communication, session pacing, materials, visual format, captioning, breaks, or platform choice. Brightoria Learn will discuss what can reasonably be provided within supplemental tutoring.
Brightoria Learn does not diagnose disability, determine formal school accommodations, or replace an institution’s legal accommodation process.
09. Alternative formats
When reasonably available, Brightoria Learn may provide plain-text instructions, larger text, simplified document structure, or an alternative communication method. Availability depends on the original material, copyright, technical constraints, and preparation time.
A request should be made as early as possible so options can be evaluated before the session.
10. Video and audio sessions
Customers may request a session format that relies more on text chat, shared notes, audio, or video depending on the learning objective and available platform. Live captions may depend on third-party technology and cannot be guaranteed in every language or circumstance.
Brightoria Learn will not require video when it is unnecessary for the service, subject to safety and platform requirements.
11. Third-party platforms
Payment, video meeting, scheduling, and Shopify functions may be provided by third parties. Brightoria Learn does not control every aspect of their accessibility but will consider a reasonable alternative when a material barrier is reported and an alternative is available.
Customers may also contact the third-party provider about barriers in that provider’s product.
12. Reporting an accessibility issue
A useful report includes the page or feature, the problem encountered, assistive technology if relevant, browser, device, and preferred contact method. Do not include unnecessary medical records or sensitive information.
Brightoria Learn will acknowledge and investigate a clear report within a reasonable period and will communicate available workarounds or planned corrections when possible.
13. No retaliation
A good-faith accessibility request or complaint will not be used to deny service. Brightoria Learn may still decline a request that fundamentally changes the service, creates an undue burden, conflicts with safety, or is not technically feasible, while considering other effective options.
Any decision will be made based on the circumstances rather than assumptions about a disability.
14. Continuous review
Accessibility practices may be updated as the website, services, standards, and tools evolve. Brightoria Learn may test priority pages and forms and address issues based on severity and impact.
Feedback from learners, parents, and visitors is an important part of that review.
